One treadmill released in 2023 is the LAKAGO Electric Folding Treadmill.
In terms of functionality and build, it’s identical to the Sunny Health & Fitness FA-7967.
It is, however, a little smaller and lacking Bluetooth connectivity. It provides more fitness options.

Construction of the framework
They combine the steel frame of the LAKAGO Electric Folding Treadmill with many plastic elements in its manufacture.
The side rail covers, engine cover, and console dashboard, for example, are all composed of thermoplastic material.
A corrosion-resistant paint coating applies to the frame steel tubes. The color chosen is black, as it is currently the only color available for this treadmill.
The unit isn’t overly big when it’s all put together. It measures 56.9′′ (145 cm) in length and 25.2′′ (64 cm) in width.
As a result, it may even fit into a small space. However, for safe use and access, at least two feet of space is advised at the back of the deck, and at least two feet of clearance on each side.
The treadmill may be folded. When the machine is not in use, I can fold the deck up to save room.
When the deck is folded, its footprint is 35.1′′L x 25.2′′W (89 x 64 cm), and its highest point is the console’s dashboard, which is around 50′′ (127 cm) above floor level.
The machine has a soft-drop folding system, which uses a hydraulic cylinder to softly unfold the deck to avoid harm.
The YD106 treadmill is not as heavy as commercial-grade treadmills, but it still weighs around 90 pounds (40.8 kg).
As a result, transporting the packaged unit should be done by two people or using a box carrier.
Only one person can easily move it once fully completed; its front base frame incorporates a set of transfer wheels.
The incline of the deck and the building of the deck
The LAKAGO Electric Folding Treadmill has a pretty strong surface that can support a maximum user weight of 220 pounds (100 kg).
The deckboard itself isn’t too stiff; it has some elasticity. It also has a series of shock-absorbent features that help to minimize the impact of each footstrike.
As a result, running or walking on this treadmill is less damaging to your joints than walking or running on asphalt or concrete.
A 5-layer sturdy belt made of PVC, polyester, and cotton yarn is included with the treadmill.
It is, however, incredibly resistant to stretching, and they engineered its top layer to provide excellent grip.
The inner rollers have a crowned shape that promotes grip while also extending the belt’s lifespan. For a smooth motion, they use high-grade sealed ball bearings.
The machine’s running platform measures 43.3′′L x 16.5′′W and has an active surface of 43.3′′L x 16.5′′W. (110L x 42W cm).
It’s obviously not as big as a commercial treadmill, but it should still be able to fit persons up to 6’0″ (183 cm) for running workouts.
Taller users should be able to use this equipment, however a complete stride may not be beneficial to them.
The inclination system on the YD106 treadmill is controlled manually. It comprises two folding foot stabilizers that are at the deck’s rear corners.
Thermoplastic material is used to make these. Each folding foot features three change holes and a retractable iron rod that may lock it in the desired position.
This treadmill has a somewhat steep inclination. With the rear base feet folded, the maximum incline setting gives a 4.5 percent slope.
We adjusted the deck to a 3% slope in the medium incline setting, but the highest incline position does not properly level the walking platform.
It continues to have a minor inclination of about 1%.
When the rear stabilizers are unfurled, the deck step-up height is approximately 5′′ (13 cm) (or locked in the highest position).
To minimize any problems, it is recommended that this treadmill be used in a room with a ceiling at least 10′′ (25 cm) higher than the tallest user’s height.
Motor for driving
A 2.5 HP (peak power) motor powers the LAKAGO Electric Folding Treadmill. It has a speed range of 0.6 to 8.1 miles per hour and keeps the belt moving during long workouts.
I also included a small flywheel for better motion stability.
Because it’s an electric treadmill, it comes with a power cord with a standard US socket. The power cord is approximately 5’8′′ long (172 cm).
It’s attached to the machine’s front bottom part. Next to the power cord is an On/Off button on the treadmill.
The speed is adjusted in 0.1 MPH increments. As a result, the transition from one level to the next is seamless, with no jerks or abrupt changes, allowing you to simply adjust your pace.
The console only has controls for adjusting the speed gradually. It lacks keys for setting the speed to 3 or 6 mph, for example. The treadmill’s right handgrip also includes speed controls.
The motor is relatively quiet. When in use, it doesn’t make a lot of noise. Your cadence, however, may make more or less noise depending on your weight, running form, or the sort of floor the machine is on.
Console
The console for the LAKAGO Electric Folding Treadmill is quite standard, with three modest LED screens. The time is displayed at the top, distance and calories are displayed on the bottom left, and they display speed and pulse on the bottom right.
By default, we measure speed and distance in metric units (km/h and kilometers). You can change the speed to MPH by simultaneously pushing the Mode and Program keys. Only the grip can read pulses.
To put it another way, the console can only read your pulse if you hold on to the metallic sensors included into the machine’s side grips.
It’s not telemetric, therefore a wireless HR chest strap or smartwatch won’t be able to monitor your pulse.
There is no Bluetooth connectivity on the treadmill, and it is not compatible with any fitness app. Its console comes with an excellent selection of pre-installed apps.
To begin, it offers a Manual mode that allows you to manually change the speed while walking or jogging using the console controls. There are three different countdown settings to choose from.
As a result, you can set a training goal in terms of time, distance, or calories burned.
If one of these targets is chosen, the console will count down from that point until it hits zero, showing that you have fulfilled your goal.
The console also features 36 pre-programmed programs. If you choose a program, the treadmill will automatically change the speed based on each section.
They supply a table containing the speed changes for each program in the user manual. There are three custom-user apps, though.
I broke each one into ten segments, and you can vary the speed of each segment and the program’s overall time.
Last but not least, there is a BMI program on the machine’s console. This feature is for calculating your body fat percentage.
To use this application, you must first enter your personal information, such as height, weight, age, and gender.
The console will determine your BMI, which is essentially an indicator of your current fitness level, based on your input.
Installation and upkeep
The machine’s operating platform is already assembled. As a result, all you have to do now is connect the cables and attach the machine’s two upright bars.
It shouldn’t take over 30-40 minutes to do this task. We supplied all the tools, as well as detailed assembly instructions, in the handbook.
It is advised that the machine, particularly the belt, be kept clean for maintenance.
Lubrication of the deck is also required. The machine comes with a bottle of lubrication, which should be used after the first 25 hours of usage and then every 50 hours of use, according to the handbook.
Aside from that, it’s a good idea to inspect the treadmill regularly to ensure that all of the pieces are secure and working properly.
I painted all of our products in our exclusive Black Onyx color, which gives the machines a very luxurious aesthetic.
In the video below you can see the factory and part of the renovation process.
The devices are rebuilt from the ground up and are subjected to multiple tests to ensure that the performance and appearance are the same as a new product.
All components, from the electronic screen to the cables and the pillow, are checked, tested and replaced by original parts after a strict protocol check.
After retreading, we test every device to ensure safety during its use. We also subjected cardio machines to an electrical safety test.
By purchasing As good as New ™ fitness equipment, you are purchasing the same quality and guarantee as with new equipment.
