Injuries do not occur when you run or jog–not even on the treadmill. This article explains how to use Kinesio Tape correctly in such situations.
With an increasing number of people, running is a constant hit.
Jogging, walking, or even running a marathon is the sport for everyone these days.
It is, therefore, not surprising that sports injuries are also increasing.
Taping is a prevalent method of treating barrel injuries.

Can you tap away from the pain so easily?
In this article, we want four typical running injuries with their causes, symptoms, and treatment options using type.
I also known the sprained ankle as ankle distortion. This injury occurs when the ankle is turned too quickly or too violently. Here the foot is placed on the outer edge, and a violent outward rotation occurs.
The symptoms are apparent. From instability when walking to limping, swollen ankles, and pain in the front area of the foot are signs of a sprained ankle.
As a rule, we immobilize the ankle for 10-14 days, depending on the severity of the injury. Kinesio taping can contribute to rapid improvement.
So it has a drainage effect. This tape bandage gives the ankle more stability. This enables athletes to become competitive again, relatively early.
First, cut two fan-shaped strips about 25 cm long. The pieces must be attached so that they form a double fan that crosses at the ankle.
We must connect the tape with the ankle straight.
The causes of knee pain are very diverse. Often there is an overload, and joint cartilage and connective tissue are not used to the strain.
In most cases, knee pain, when under stress, manifests itself as a prick in the kneecap’s area.
However, they can also appear during periods of rest.
For this, you need four tape strips.
I glued the first two strips around the kneecap with maximum tension. The third and fourth tapes as well.
However, it is essential to ensure that tape strips one and three, as well as two and four, overlapping slightly.
You can find informative tips and a helpful video on the linked page if you want to learn more about taping the knee, which explains precisely how a knee can tap with Kinesio Tape.
The strain on the thigh or lower leg
A strain is sometimes the most common injury in athletes. Here the muscle fibers are stretched to the limit.
Clear signs of a strain are muscle pain, loss of strength, stiffness, restricted movement, and, in part, hematoma because of capillary rupture.
Again, the pain can be combated with Kinesio tape. For this, you need four strips with a length of about 15 cm.
I glued the first strip over the pain point with maximum tension.
I glued the second tape to the first strip with a slight offset, also under tension. Now glue the third and fourth strips of tape under stress, orthogonal to the first two attached strips.
Tendonitis on the foot
I also known tendonitis on foot as tendinitis. In most cases, overload causes it.
Monotonous movements and poor technique in a sport can also trigger this.
I hardly noticed the symptoms at the beginning of the inflammation.
However, pain occurs over time, which increases because of movement. We often associate redness and swelling with pain.
With tendinitis on foot, Kinesio tape can help the tendon regenerate faster because the tape relieves the foot. To do this, hold the foot to form a 90-degree angle to the lower leg.
Now stick a tape strip over the underside of the outer ankle and the front ankle up to the Achilles tendon.
Someone wrap almost entirely the tape around the ankle.
They place the second strip over the outer ankle down over the sole and on the inside of the foot, up to the inner ankle’s height.
The third strip runs over the back of the foot and is glued in front of the other two tapes.
In summary, kinesiotape can alleviate the symptoms and accelerate the healing process.
It is not for nothing that runners swear by Kinesio Treamill.
